JIMENA GONZÁLEZ PHISICAL AND STAGE TRAINER
Jimena trained in theatre, dance, physical preparation, voice and as a clown. She graduated from the IUNA (National Institute of the Arts) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and continued her studies with Guillermo Angelelli, discovering the basis for her work. She also dedicates herself to Afro-Brazilian dances and Pilates, amongst other integrative techniques for physical training.
In Rhythmics, she found an invisible thread between her various experiences:
body---action---rhythm---dance---space---music---scenes
Jimena has worked as an actress, dancer and clown, as well as in Salsa shows and street theatre. At the moment, she acts and directs in her performance group "Las Lacias" together with Josefina Recio, as well as teaching acting, physical expression, Afro-Brazilian dances, and giving courses for children, teenagers and adults in schools and other institutions.
At RITMICA VIENA, she coordinates the Laboratiro Rítmico Escénico (rhythmical performance laboratory) together with Alexander Riedmüller. She is interested in all forms of training and preparation for acting and artistic processes, as well as in cross-disciplinary research (theatre, dance, music) for the development of scenes for the stage.
