ALEXANDER RIEDMÜLLER TEACHER
Born in Germany, Alexander finished the degree programme RHYTHMICS (Music and Movement Education) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the degree programme Musicology at the University of Vienna (Austria). At the moment he is studying a Master in Cultural Diversity at the University of Tres de Febrero and Ethnomusicoloy at the Conservatory Manuel de Falla.
He tought English for several years in kindergartens in Vienna and was also teacher for music theory at the Free Music School (Free Steiner's School) in Pötzleinsdorf, Vienna (Austria). His special interest is to link RHYTHMICS / Music and Movement Education with Language Education. Currently he works as a teacher´s trainer for German as a foreign language and gives workshops linking language adquisition to music, movement and theatre.
He has experience giving RHYTHMICS workshops for children and adults in kindergartens, primary schools, special schools, social programmes, asylum homes, choirs, universities and institutes in throughout Europ, Latin America, in Iran, Ethopia and Russia. He presented his work also at different congresses for rhythmics, drama and language education.
Over many years he was member and rhythmical trainer of the Brazilian-German Choir Cantares in Munich (Germany). He is one of the founding members of the improvisational theatre group artig in Vienna (Austria) and musical trainer and coreographer of the body music group Bande - Música Corporal in Montevideo (Uruguay).
